I'm Outi, a documentary photographer based in Helsinki.
I like to have fun with colors, shapes and moments. A strong passion for street photography, music, art, yoga and a huge animal lover! Raw sun light and dark shadows keeps me going.
My travels in developing countries and various works with refugees has made a huge impact on me as a person and as a photographer. The most recent work trip was for Finnish Refugee Council in Uganda's refugee settlements. I did a photographic study on the impact of climate change on refugees lives.
I have also studied gender studies as my minor subjects so intersectional approach is usually the starting point for all of my thinking and photographing.
My pictures has been published in Helsingin Sanomat and in other medias and I've been working with several NGO's as well.
I'm always up for new assignments, give me a call and let's talk more!
